Hey everyone! The good news is I've completed my first run-through of the book of Joshua. Sermons start August 16th! The bad news is that delayed me from getting something out about our midyear meeting tomorrow. So, here's the skinny:
Remember, picnic. We have meat and drinks! If you can bring a side or dessert, great. If not, come anyway. We'll eat!
Now, to the business:
- The finances are in good shape. Income and expenses are tracking as we expected. We've received two unexpected gifts totaling almost $70,000. Praise God!
- We will potentially approve a constitutional change moving the Annual Meeting from January/February to November. This will enable us to approve a budget before the first of the year, and hopefully keep us out of winter travel issues.
- We will discuss the video system in the sanctuary. The projector is getting old, and the recent storms have crippled other functions. I want to talk about potential changes before we pursue options.
- We will also discuss water in the SE corner of the basement (again - sigh). The new gutters helped, but didn't eliminate this problem.
- And whatever else is on the congregation's mind. Remember, we want to walk away from these meetings feeling heard and valued, like the Lord's work has been done and done well!
Thanks! See you Sunday

Virtue is not just the absence of sin, but the presence of Godliness.
